Summary
I worked in a larger project team to design, develop, and launch a new mobile app for the World Weight
Loss brand. I acted as the Design Lead, ensuring that proper UI/UX principles were applied while
developing a new visual identity strategy for branding the mobile application. My deliverables also
included creating the final screens that were provided to the developers.
What I Did
There was a lot required for this project, much of which was rooted in creating an incredibly engaging
and valuable app experience for the users:
- New visual identity direction that included new sets of design guidelines for a
more modern presentation.
- UI/UX research findings, which helped improve the quality of the design
decisions made.
- App screens were creating for all areas of the app.
- Screen variations pseudo profiles were created and designed around to verify
that the experience would met the team's quality & outcome expectations.
Reflection
This was the largest app project that I had worked at this time, and I took this opportunity to ensure
every design decision and recommendation was the best it could be. Focusing on even the smallest
assumptions and details helped produce a final design that surpassed the client's expectations.
Programs Used
There were quite a few different deliverables, requiring me to be proficient in a variety of different
tools. These included:
- Google Workspace for handling project notes and communication
- Adobe Illustrator to create graphic design assets used in the final designs
- Adobe XD when designing out the app screens
